Roses - this one inspired me to plant a rose garden today

This pretty rose bush grows up through the lace cap hydrangea (which, by the way looks as though it will be having a banner year).  I had a blank space in my garden that has always been kind of a no-man's land. I went to my very favorite gardening spot, McArdle's in Greenwich, and decided to buy some beautiful, fragrant English rose bushes. They're in but a little tired; after all, it is 90 degrees out there.  I'll show you tomorrow.

I also put some lantana in the planter.  They also remind me of Bermuda and lots of fun times. They can also survive if you forget to water, as can the plumbago which is why they are perfect for Bermuda.

I read Abby Jenkins' blog (friend of a friend - google it) and she bought ladybugs on eBay - truly, only in America can that be done.  Anyway, I think I should probably invest in some of those because I think roses tend to get aphids (sp?) and the bugs will eat them.

I am cautious with my grammar because I am related to two of the most persnickety guys when it comes to grammar. So I think twice before I use the semi-colon and comma.  I don't always get it right.
