Summertime

Favorite summertime fun:

Planning a picnic and deciding that it will be just us few pals. There is nothing to compare to the ambience of sitting at a picnic table with friends, chatting about everything and nothing.

Oh, we have it down to a science, different courses parceled out. Everyone brings what they would like to drink, someone brings deviled eggs (a big Hit), salad, meat, tablecloths etc. So the burden doesn't fall on one person trying to organize the whole shebang.

There are tons more things to love about summer and I'll be adding to the list.  Make sure to get out for a walk today, even if it is for just 10 minutes.

P.S. Part of every day should be spent reading. I am currently addicted to Michael Connelly books because who knew about him before now and didn't tell me? It's not braniac reading but I am enjoying them. Anyway if you have your Kindle and take it to the beach be careful not to drop it in the sand while reorganizing your chair position, and then step on it as I did.  Kaput goes the Kindle and I half expected to have words and letters falling out of it onto the beach but they just stayed stuck in there.
